All Vegan in San Diego, California All Vegan opened in November 2003 to provide a fun and convenient shopping experience for vegans and vegetarians, and everyone else who wants to be kind to animals or just appreciates cute shoes and fine gourmet chocolate! The proprietor is Joy Zakarian, Director of LCA San Diego and vegan since 1987, who realized we needed a local vegan shopping spot after so many people came up to our info booth over the years, asking us where to find non-leather shoes, belts, etc. Not only was it hard to find them but many of us were tired of having to study labels as we shopped in depressingly leather-laden stores, or had unsatisfactory experiences having to return shoes purchased online that didn't fit. Early on in the planning process, during a particularly long wait for highly anticipated mail-order vegan chocolates, Joy realized that chocolates were also a "necessity" that should be available in every vegan store!

One creative way of reusing the glass container your soy candle came in is to fill the glass container with colored marbles, stick in a few pieces of bamboo and fill it with water...instant vision therapy! We reuse all of the packing supplies we receive. About 90% of the packing and shipping supplies we ship out can be recycled and reused. Our packing peanuts are biodegradable and our packing paper is recyclable. Universol Aromas Soy Candle Co. guarantees that our natural soy candles contain no petroleum or paraffin products. Our natural soy candles contain no beeswax or animal products, making them vegetarian/vegan-friendly. Our natural soy wax is manufactured meeting FDA an kosher standards.
